Russia Ukraine India’s stand clear peace the only way
India has once again abstained from voting in that resolution of the United Nations General Assembly regarding Russia-Ukraine war and made its stand clear that peace is the only solution. War is not the solution.
Russia has been and will remain clear in its stand on the condemnation of the Ukraine war. India said this completely. Also, 141 countries supported this resolution, while 32 countries did not participate in it, including India.
7 countries have voted against it. America and Ukraine appealed to India to take a clear stand and do the right thing. In response, India protested against it. India continued with its strategy of not criticizing Russia. Similar proposals have been shied away from in both the UNGA and the UNSC.
India and Russia have a trustful relationship over the years. Along with this, Russia is also an arms supplier for India.
